For our first week of class, we get to study colors, or rather, color wheels! From primary to secondary to tertiary. One need to understand how they can complement each other despite the differences in hue.
I really, REALLY love to work with colors, but only in digital. I am bad in mixing colors on traditional medias hahaha. But colors are my favorite subjects. I like making my artwork vibrant and feel alive.
For this assignment, I was inspired by Steven Universe's style of coloring and art style.
Hence, the vector-looking art style and extra vibrant colors.
Final work for the color wheel assignment.
The first 3 floating island is the primary colors (red, blue, green), the second 3 floating island are the secondary colors ( green, orange, and purple) while the last floating island is a mixture of tertiary colors.
These floating islands actually represent kingdoms in a story i made. Where the Red(Ahmer), Blue(Riub) and Yellow(Ningku) are the major, BIG kingdoms while the others are small kingdom. That is why the three are on top and have primary colors for their color scheme.

At first, it was quite hard to figure out where to place the colors to make it complement each other well. But all went well in the end, my artwork even got picked to be featured on KaryaOne, I think? Thank you Miss Sheila!
